From rich to as long as he can afford to make a living, and many of the character that we ‘dream’ of, remains a dream because we finally realize the ‘reality’ that its just a dream.

We may not find the perfect person but they will be perfect for us. So, don’t look for the perfect person, look for imperfect person, because he will give you more room to improve themselves.

At times, I feel overwhelmed. I hate not understanding the mistakes I’ve made and I’m scared that I’m going to commit them over and over again without I realize. But then there’s this point in life when you realize that everything’s going to be okay, somehow. Nothing lasts forever and life is a constant cycle that keeps anything from lasting longer than it should.

But, no matter what your outlook on life, if you love it at one point and hate it at another, you still have to work with it. I guess it’s my strength and determination that gets me up every morning. It’s my fear that drives me and my pain that teaches me. It is important for me to know that nothing lasts forever, but that everything has a purpose.

You have to love yourself before you love another. You have to trust yourself before you trust another. Because life is about constant balance. Whether you feel like life has fucked you over or if you’re having the best times of your life. Just know that there is something always better out there.

In the end, it will only be you and yourself. So sometimes, you have stop trying to change your life all of the time. Just concentrate on living instead, Sakinah!

My Ramadhan Moments.

Tonight's gonna be the last 10 days of Ramadhan. We've reached the 3rd semester, I would say. Alhamdulillah. Hopefully our Ibadah received and our wishes will be granted by Him.

My Ramadhan moments so far:

1. Walking about 1-km to Masjid to participate with Solat Tarawikh. No parking space. Likes!
2. Eat less, moderately and went for Maghrib's prayer.
3. Taking time to give a belated thank you to God for all the things He blessed you with.
4. Your forehead on the soft ground, and hushed “Subhanna rabi al-a'la”s filling your ears from both sides.
5. Bazaar Ramadhan with lovelies.
6. Someone's cooking for me. Mom. Farid.
7. Recite Yaasin after Solat Fardhu.
8. Less angry, more peaceful life and learn to let go.
9. Moderately in spending.
10. No smoking.

This year is little bit different from my previous years. Ayah is not with us any more. And we missed him every day. Especially during buka puasa. His absence really hit us.

It was stupid of me to believe all of your lies, it was stupid of me to believe you when you said you loved me, and it was stupid of me to give my heart to you and trust you with not hurting me. I could deal with the cheating if you had just owned up to it. I really think I could've, because I really really liked you. I wanted us to work and I was willing to do anything to make sure that happened. But I guess you couldn't handle me finding out what you had done, or you couldn't handle everyone telling me “lies” as you said.

It just kind of sucks cause I actually trusted you when you said forever. I actually trusted you when I gave you all my heart, in such a short period of time. I believed you when you told me I was different, and that you’d change for me. When you told me you knew we were going fast, but that you loved me and were in love with me, hah, I believed that too. The sad thing is, I fell in love with you I think. I was so vulnerable and I fell for you.

Shit that blows? Yea, I was in a three and a half year relationship where I got treated like shit every single day of my life, then I started falling for you. I held my guard up for so long because I was scared of this happening. But oh no, you promised me up and down this wouldn’t happen. And I believed you. But you know what? You lost a good girl. Hell, I’ll miss you sure. But it’s you who lost something good. And like you said, you’re gonna regret this shit later.

No hard feelings to you, I get it. You’ve just taught me the most valuable life lesson, and thank you for that. You taught me to always guard my heart, guard my body, never fall too quickly, never let down your walls to a guy just because he says he’s in love with you, and most importantly: To never trust again.

Ah..I’m glad that even now, God still gives me the chance to live.

Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah.

Even though maybe I can’t express it proper enough, but really, Thanks Allah SWT, I’m still able to live and breathe today.

Not too long ago, I thought.. how can people live their lives just like that, by simply living everyday’s life, taking everything for granted, and waiting time to pass slowly? But yes, I’m too simple minded back then.

Life has it’s ups and downs, and our lives can surely bring us up and down, back and forth with many issues that might make us want to just disappear completely, forgetting all of the problems we have. But yes, it’s not a solution. I don’t know for you, but for me.. actually it’s not myself that I want to disappear, but the problem itself that I want to get rid off.

And sometimes, we do forget that to get rid of the problem, we have to face it bravely, and seek for the solution. It may takes time, it may cause you a lot of pain.. but moving is surely better than standing still.

Maybe I’m just on my calmest state of mind, so I can type thing like this easily. But it’s okay, right now I think it’s my turn to calm people’s mind.. and later on, when my world feels crumbled, I wish.. you guys, my friend, will help me to get this through :)

Let’s be thankful that we’re still living no matter what. Thanks Allah SWT we even get to meet this lovely month again.

Let’s ask Allah’s forgiveness while we can, let’s seek the ultimate love which only He has right now.

Please forgive my mistakes and happy Ramadhan, everyone.

Last two days had been a very eventful weekend. Our 1st monthly-sary. We had our first heart-to-heart session where we talked about our feelings and how this 1-month made us feel. He cooked for me. Nasi, ikan masak kicap, sambal paru, and ikan bilis goreng. Dinner under the star beside swimming pool. Heart.

My dad passed away on 24 June 2011, at 7.05pm. Caused of death - Carcinoma of lung.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.

Alhamdulilah for every blessing that has been generously given to us, especially the opportunity to share a sense of peace, experiences and thoughts with our beloved Ayah. May we be reunited once more, InsyaAllah.

He lived life with patience and understanding. May he be happily reunited with his family (eg. my grandma, grandpa, Pak Itam, etc) in Jannah, InsyaAllah.

May Allah SWT give us the strength to carry on and support those who may struggle to overcome their sense of grief (especially my mom). May Allah SWT make the path towards righteousness and moral obedience brighter - unclouded by worldly, selfish desires.

Its pathetic when people have such disgrace towards the introverts. We are not shy, we are just uncomfortable being around lots of people. We prefer to stay all alone in our room doing boring things instead of socializing outdoors.

Yes we prefer going for a walk alone in the park instead of following you to some outings we feel uncomfortable with. We don’t like to do anything without solid plan. No, we still do things at the last minutes, it just that we cant do random things when we are not mentally ready. We will get tensed and very uncomfortable afterwards.

Really stop insulting us for not being the outspoken, ‘fun’, sociable, outgoing, overly talkative people like you. Stop trying to push me to be extroverted, thats just not my personality. We tolerate your noise, so please with all due respect, tolerate with our silence.

Watching people fall in love astounds me. I guess it's the same reason people (mostly girls) watch romance movies. We all have those burning questions that we want answers to.

What does it feel like?

How do you know if you're in love?

I don't really know the first thing about how to fall in love with someone, but I enjoy making predictions and playing matchmaker when it comes to other people.

Sometimes it makes me feel sad to see everyone else have someone that loves them except me, but I suppose it also gives me some hope that I'll find out what it's like someday.

I'll keep my hopes up. Not to high, but enough to keep me going.

Well, cheating is basically not even in my vocabulary and I would never even dream of doing such a terrible thing to any human being. Just the thought of the subject nauseates me. And you don’t have to be dating someone to cheat on them. For example, you can cheat on your friends and you can cheat on your family. Pretty much any kind of relationship can be jeopardized by cheating; I’ve had to learn this the hard way, unfortunately.

That aside, I also don’t exactly understand what drives people, especially people who are only dating, to cheat. If you don’t want to be with someone, then don’t be. If you’re not sure, take some time to figure it out. There is just absolutely no excuse to do such a disgusting thing and I don’t feel sorry for anyone who cheats on someone and I truly hope they get what they deserve.

So he said he's not happy with his marriage. And at the same time asked me to keep whatever we have right now as a secret. That sounds so scandalous and I'm not keen. I'm in no business of affair nor cheating.

Another emo-hate post.

It’s all happening all over again. I’m fed up with people saying ‘I love you’ to me. As awful as it sounds. I guess people just don’t understand how powerful that is. To give someone your complete trust and promise without understanding what it actually means is beyond me.

It really hurts though, you know? It’s like getting your heart ripped out by someone who you would’ve given to anyway. It seems like everyone who I start to get feelings for does this to me. I don’t know whether they mean to do it or if they’re just that naive, but nonetheless it still hurts the same.

I feel like I’m losing the best thing that ever happened to me, and there’s nothing I can do about it. I just hope you know that it’s tearing me apart inside. In the words of the J Geils Band, Love Stinks. It really does.

At one point, we've all encountered people who've made a promise to never leave or abandon us. But in truth, these promises are a mere denial of reality. Truth is, nothing in life is permanent; people always come and people always go.

Some even said that promises are meant to be broken, and absolutely no one is capable of foreseeing the future. Needless to say, those promises weren't directly made to hurt us.

Truth?

It's our own human nature that is to blame. We make "promises" out of impulse without thinking ahead of what the future may hold. Accordingly, expectations and false hopes arise. And those who end up with the shorter end of the stick, blame the opposite party - when in reality, no one is to blame. It's human nature to make promises and human nature to believe them. Especially at this age.

So what are we left to do?

Simple: let it go, stop blaming those who hurt us, and continue to live life without this bitterness and animosity. Trust me, you'll live in a much more peaceful reality this way.

That's quite a popular phrase among women. I seldom hear this phrase from men, maybe because they're very confident of their weight and never has a thought of losing one.

Ok, lets get to it. I'm on diet. I'm on Herbalife. It has been a month now. But seriously I didn't lose any weight. My wellness coach said that I lose few inches around my body but I don't think I will rely on that result consider they measured me using measuring tape which the place where they put it changes everytime. Such a liar.

Since last month, I've tried to control my appetite towards food. I was very strict because Herbalife is a very very expensive product. Of course I wanna see the result, right? Everytime they saw me, they kept changing how I consumed the product, my diet plan and asked me to buy more and more product. I almost give up.

Whatever it is, I will continue consume Herbalife for 3 months to see if there's any progress. And I will stop right away if it doesn't. Why waste money, right?

Just thought you should know, I recently had my room paint all black. My lil' brother gather his friends around and get it done. Sometimes we try to keep holding on to something in hopes that eventually, we can let go and that thing will still be there. Sometime we can hurt ourselves when all we’re trying to do is hang on to that one thing that makes us happy. But just because something made you happy in the past, doesn’t mean it necessarily will again. Actually, that thing can end up hurting you the longer you hang on to it. Someday we have to let go. Goodbye seems like the worst thing that you could ever do. Why leave something that you’ve worked so hard to keep around?

Last few months, I dragged out a terrible relationship with someone who kept hurting and dissapointing me over and over and over again. I was obsessively stuck on the person that he used to be, instead of realizing who he had become and what he was doing to me. Every time he was purposely rude or blew me off without a second thought, I made excuses for him. I lied to myself every day, promising that next time would be better. I just had to try a little harder, be a little more perfect. Then he’d treat me right. He’d think I was perfect.

Today I got my closure. Now that it’s all over, I am finally me. I know that some of you may have heard (read: read) about this 'finally me' for so many times. What to do, I am not that lucky in the L-O-V-E department.Well, life goes on.

Never Let Me Go.

This is Kathy, Ruth and Tommy.
It was from the scene of film, Never Let Me Go.

I can hardly begin to describe the emotions it evokes. I am at a loss for words. It is a beautiful, beautiful film. But I recommend you should read the book first.

When the scene above started (towards the end), I started preparing myself because I knew what would happen. When Miss Emily explained that deferrals don’t exist, and there’s a really long shot on Tommy’s face as he listens to it and realises that they won’t have more time to spend together, and oh my goodness it is so heartbreaking. And then when he screams at the road, the tears fell. It was so emotional.

As any other movie that adapted from the book, it has few flaws here and there. And as a huuuuuuge fan of the book, I think they did a magnificent job. I was on the verge of tears most of the time, and then I broke down when Tommy broke down. Andrew Garfield was so perfect for the role. I think casting was just fantastic, especially with the child versions of them.

What a great movie. I totally recommend it, but believe me when I tell you that you should read the book first. you wont regret it.

I knew this all along, but I always want to ignore it. Sometimes I believe human are impossible. Who am I kidding? Human race are impossible. I used to believe if they did bad things, they are bad people. And vice versa. Nothing is gonna make them change the way they were. They will known as bad people. And it stays that way. Forever.

I believe people will change given circumstances, eg. illness, repent, self-discover etc. But for how long? No one knows.

Allah itu Maha Kuasa, Maha Agung. DIA jadikan manusia ini dengan macam-macam ragam. Dalam masa 3 minggu ini je aku dah nampak macam-macam gelagat manusia. Ada yang buat aku terkejut pun ada. Haih, manusia ohh manusia.

Hidup aku makin kelam kabut sekarang ni. Study aku dah tunggang langgang. Takda masa jumpa kawan-kawan atau bertwitter. Semuanya aku habiskan bersama keluarga (dan masalah keluarga). Hidupku statik. Sudah jadi rutin. Pagi bangun jam 6.30 pagi, pergi kerja jam 7.30 pagi dan pulang jam 5.30 ptg. Kemudian ke Damansara Specialist sehingga jam 10 atau 11 malam. Balik rumah, then tidur jam 12-12.30pg. Esok pun sama. Hari selepas esok pun sama. Hari esok selepas hari selepas esok pun sama. Kecuali Sabtu, Ahad dan Public Holiday. Cliche'.

Dalam hati aku pun hampir dah takda rasa. Kosong. Aku tak sedih pun ayah aku ada kanser. Dan aku tak sedih pun the fact yang penyakit dia alami tu incurable. Jahat ke aku ni? Anak derhaka? Entahlah. Allah je tahu apa aku rasa. Mungkin pada orang yang biasa dikhianati akan rasa perkara ni perkara biasa. Ye lah, ayah kawin lagi. So kita redha. But pada aku, no way. Takda maknanya aku nak redha. Nak cakap apa pun cakaplah. Itu yang aku rasa. Ramai saudara mara cakap dengan aku suruh redha, suruh lupakan perkara itu dan beri ayah aku support sebanyak mungkin. No way, ayah korang tak kawin dua boleh la cakap. Plus, kalau ayah korang tu adil saksama, takpe jugak. Ni segala serbi tak cukup, tapi sebok nak kawin dua. Aku tak cakap yang tak cukup tu makan pakai, tempat tinggal atau duit. Tapi kasih sayang. Dah lama kot dia buat perangai, sejak aku sekolah. Siap halau-halau aku dari rumah lagi lepas aku tangkap dia ada skandal dulu. Kononnya aku buat fitnah kat dia. Bullshit.

Kalau nak ingat pasal dulu, makin panas hati aku dibuatnya. Lantak dia lah. Itu la ada peribahasa 'Sepandai-pandai tupai melompat, akhirnya jatuh ke tanah jua." Ingat diorang suka-suka je buat peribahasa, sebab ada kejadian macam ni la. Ye lah, 12 tahun kot skandal ni, tak sangka plak bila kali terakhir aku tangkap dia dengan skandal dia, masa tu diorang dah kawin. Ironinya dia bagitau masa dia sakit. Masa tu sesak nafas dan dia macam dah pasti yang dia akan pergi meninggalkan kami semua. So untuk avoid surprise, dia bagitau. So much of killing two birds in one stone. Maybe dia ingat lepas bagitau dia kanser, and lepas tu bagi tahu dia dah kawin lain tu akan buat kitorang neutral? Sorry lah. Hilang terus rasa kesian aku.

Apa-apa pun semua mungkin akan terjawab esok. Mak bapak isteri kedua ayah aku yang sebaya kakak aku tu akan datang esok untuk berbincang. Apparently ayah aku dah lafaz cerai talak 3 kat perempuan tu dalam telefon kelmarin. Tunggu dan lihat je la. Apa yang keluar dari mulut ayah aku bukan boleh percaya sangat. Kalau sebelum ni terer sangat menipu, jangan harap la aku nak percaya lagi. Macam drama kisah family aku ni. Meluat. Kalau lah ada tukar ganti keluarga macam tukar kereta, nak je aku tukar. Tak best.

Today, my dad's doctor said he's now in 4th stage of lung cancer and the cancer cells have spread to his back bone and heart. He needs chemo and surgery stat starting today. He's been admitted to Tawakkal since last Sunday with unknown cause except for chest and back pain. He's a heavy smoker his whole life and just stopped smoking recently. It's just too late.

On another note, my dad dropped us with another 'big' news. He's married a second wife. It has been 4 years.

Like I said, I don't think it would be a good year for us. Hmm.

Ada orang sebut singkatan 'gimam' untuk pergi makan (pergi mamam). Tapi kebanyakannya gunakan singkatan 'gimam' untuk pergi mampos!

Jadi aku buat contoh penggunaan singkatan ini dalam ayat-ayat dibawah.

"Jom gimam."

Or.

"Gimam sama dia."

Dan banyak lagi. Rasanya sudah jelas maksud singkatan 'gimam' di atas. So ayat dibawah untuk orang yang berkenaan sahaja.

Disclaimer: Forgive me if I come across as a bitch but I'm in a shit mood today and can't be bothered with wrapping everything up in a nice way.

Ah, no one will read this anyway.

What drives me mad is how I keep meeting guys that have zero drive to impress me. I'm not saying I want a knight in shining armor but I've been meeting so many men that either show all signs of wanting to get to know me better but didn't do a damn thing to make it happen or men that think I am going to want to do something stupid like go on a cruise around town with them. Sleazy!!!

I respect every guy who has the guts to ask me out properly, behaves like a man (confidence!!) and shows me respect. No, I'm not going to be saying yes to everybody but it's the only chance I will say yes. There's no need to be flashing cash either, I personally just want to meet men in an environment where we can get to know each other.

When I meet guys that are too scared to admit in some way that they like me, red flags do pop up. I keep wondering what it tells me about the guy, isn't he confident? Do I intimidate him? Then I soon stop wondering and start looking around for other males willing to approach me. Chances are the other guys will still be around in case things go really bad for me and I need an ego boost.

It didn't work out this time. Again. Ya, maybe I'll end up alone. Maybe I'll never find someone who'll love me unconditionally. Just so you know, I'm not worried about ending up alone. I'd rather be alone than be in a meaningless relationship. It's far better to be alone than with someone shit!

p/s: Believe me this is just a phase. An emotional one. And I hope I'll be okay tomorrow.

7 Ramadhan. Alhamdulillah. Genap seminggu umat Islam di seluruh dunia berpuasa.

Seperti yang kita semua tahu, Ramadhan sepatutnya mendidik kita menjadi umat yang bersabar. Sabar dalam segala ujian dariNya. Rasa-rasa anda jadi semakin penyabar tak? Atau sebaliknya?

Di jalanraya, makin ramai pemandu yang hati panas bawak kereta. Nak kata experience first hand perkara itu, tak jugalah. Tapi selalu nampak tweet-tweet kawan-kawan yang geram dengan pemandu sekeliling mereka tatkala lagi 2 atau 3 jam sebelum berbuka. Boleh dikatakan semua tweet-tweet amarah.

Di rumah, especially rumah saya. Saya cepat hilang sabar bila orang membuat sesuatu yang ridiculous. Ayah saya cepat melenting kalau orang bertanya banyak dengan dia. Mak pula jawab soalan semua dengan high pitch. Semuanya berlaku 2 atau 3 jam sebelum berbuka.

Banyak lagi tempat lain. Tapi saya rasa cukuplah 2 tempat yang saya sering dengar rungutan tentangnya.

So, Ramadhan ini, anda makin sabar atau sebaliknya?

They said, first day always tougher than the rest. But with today's weather, I doubt that. My 1st day of Ramadhan kinda superb. As usual, Mom's Bubur Lambuk on the 1st day is a must! Yums! I can bet hers better than Kg Baru's bubur lambuk.

Us siblings went for tour around three Bazaar Ramadhan around Gombak's area (Gombak Setia, Danau Kota and Sri Gombak) for food hunting. Nothing fancy. Just the usual. Boring.

Err. Really? You got to be kidding me!

The only thing predictable about the Ministry of Education is its unpredictability. Nobody (except for the MoE, of course) will know for sure whether they will eventually scrap the Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) and Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) examinations in favor of an education system based on a 'holistic' approach.

But I have to say: I believe the UPSR and PMR should be retained, as the students' progress throughout their primary and secondary years are significant, in a way, and therefore they should be evaluated.

But that's my opinion, of course. We'll just see what happens. People are multifaceted, after all.

Finally! Penat dah aku countdown. Akhirnya FIFA World Cup 2010 akan membuka tirainya esok. Terus terang aku katakan, aku bukanlah peminat gila-gila bola ni. Aku suka sebab semuanya berlaku di luar jangkaan. Tanpa dirancang. Dalam masa aku terfikir, "Eh, ada orang nak kenakan aku ke ape ni?" Tapi bila tak dirancang, itu lah yang paling indah.
